We’re excited to begin our Spring/Summer Travel Teams. Hopefully this season will be an enjoyable, learning experience in which your young athlete will grow both athletically and personally, while building meaningful relationships with their peers from neighboring schools.

  • This year’s fee is $975.00. A $300 deposit is due by this Friday, February 14, 2025 in an effort to order our uniforms promptly.

    The remaining amount is due by Thursday, February 27, 2025.

    Be sure to send Director Mo Finley a direct message through GroupMe (use the link below to sign-up) to make arrangements for in-person payments.

    When paying via Venmo be sure to list your child’s name and do not list the fees as a service.

    No personal checks will be accepted. All cashier’s checks must be made out to One Finley Way.

  • You're invited to join our 2025 OFW Galaxy 7th Grade Girls GroupMe.

    It’s the best way to communicate team information concerning practices, changes, etc. We would also like to have a Team Parent. This parent will be in charge of scorekeeping, collecting team info, etc. If this is something that interests you please let Coach Drake know ASAP.      

  • It is very important that you review all policies to know what we expect from our parents and team members.

    In our Parent Portal you will find additional information and FAQs. Visit the Teams page to view the OFW Staff Code of Conduct and to view current information, such as the Tournament Schedule when it becomes available.

  • We will be placing uniform orders this Friday. Therefore, we need the team to come by Dawson FRC to try on uniforms for sizing. It should only take about five minutes.

    Coach Mo Finley will be available today, 3 - 6 pm and tomorrow, 3 - 6 pm.

7th grade girls coach

Cedric Drake graduated from LaFayette High School where he was a three sport (football, basketball, and baseball) athlete. He went on to play college basketball at Meridian Community College (1998-2001) and Auburn University at Montgomery (2001-2003). He was a Graduate Assistant at the University of Auburn at Montgomery (2003-04) before being named the Head Coach at Taylor Road Academy (2005-2009). Following that opportunity, he was an assistant coach at Prattville Christian Academy (2005-2009). He moved on to coach at the Montgomery Job Corps Center (2011-2012) before accepting the head basketball coaching position at Meridian Community College in Mississippi (2012-2016). Later he became Head Basketball Coach at Shelby County High School from 2019-2023. In 2019, he received the honor of being named the Shelby County Coach of the Year. In addition to working with OFW Galaxy, he's also coached travel basketball with the Montgomery Challenge and the Montgomery Suns.

Currently, he is the Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach at Sylacauga High School.

Coach Drake is married to Kiwanis Drake and they have two kids.
