Travel Basketball Teams in Birmingham, AL

OFW Galaxy™ is the competitive travel basketball division of One Finley Way Sports, in providing structured team development and tournament competition for youth athletes in Birmingham, AL and the surrounding communities.

Currently we serve girls and boys ages 11-17 (Grades 6th-11th), allowing them the opportunity to play basketball throughout the spring and summer.

Our developmental basketball program seeks to improve program participants’ knowledge of the game and to give them more opportunities to engage in learning hands-on, gameplay environment. Our younger participants play in local, quality tournaments to hone their foundational skills. Our older, more skilled teams take their talent to the next level playing in the best of local tournaments, but also traveling to LIVE tournaments within and outside of the state. Our teams are designed to help our players improve every facet of their game. In addition to gameplay, our teams practice weekly. Our constant focus is to emphasize the importance of ongoing skill development, being a team player, and the benefits of having good character and solid social skills as it relates to athletics and life.

    At One Finley Way Sports™, we do not chase tournaments. We build players.

    Our tournament schedule is intentionally structured to balance competition, growth, and long-term performance. We select events that challenge our teams appropriately, expose athletes to high-level play, and provide meaningful game reps without overloading their bodies or schedules.

    We believe:

    • Competition should reinforce training — not replace it.

    • Development is more important than weekend trophies.

    • Athletes need time to practice, recover, and refine skills between tournaments.

    • Families deserve a predictable and organized season plan.

    Our goal is simple:

    Each athlete should leave the season more skilled, more disciplined, and more prepared than when they started.
